Nearly time to enrol?
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Hallam! It’s important for you – and for us – that we set you up to succeed on your course. Enrolling in good time is an essential step in starting your studies.
When you join Hallam, you will be asked to complete an online enrolment process (which you may also see referred to as the ‘online enrolment task’). Enrolling confirms your place on your course and secures your access to the facilities, resources and services that Hallam provides, as well as giving you an opportunity to check your details and make sure you fulfill the requirements of your course.
Two weeks before your course starts, you will receive an email inviting you to enrol. We will send this to the personal email address you gave us. If your details have changed (if for example, you’d given a college email address you no longer have access to), you must let us know now so we can make sure your invitation reaches you safely.
Your enrolment invitation email will take you to a Hallam Welcome portal where you will find instructions on how to get started with your enrolment, what you’ll need, and guidance on the steps to complete your enrolment. In the portal, you will also find information to get you prepared, and resources for you to explore as you start your studies at Hallam. The enrolment task itself also gives you lots of guidance, but if you have any problems or queries our team are here to help you. You should allow around 20 minutes for the enrolment task.
We’ll let you know the deadline to complete your enrolment in your enrolment invite, but the sooner you are enrolled the sooner you will be able to get started.
If you are an international student, you must pay 50% of your tuition fee before you can start enrolling. Allow five business days for your payment to clear and the enrolment task to become available to you. The International Experience Team’s Support On Arrival page has more information.
Completing your enrolment will also enable you to get your SHUcard (our Hallam student card) and will trigger your loan payments.
If you’ve already received your enrolment invitation email, you can now follow the instructions in your email to get started!
If you need any help with enrolling, or re-enrolling, our enrolment team will be happy to help:
